We specialise in onsite, face to face mandatory and short awareness health and social care training courses for groups and individuals throughout the United Kingdom. It is extremely important that all employees working within a healthcare environment is trained to the appropriate level. In addition to complying with current legislation, it also demonstrates due diligence.

Mandatory training is a requirement by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Care Quality Commission (CQC). Health & Social Care Mandatory courses are suitable for new and existing staff working in Residential and Nursing Homes, Domiciliary Care, Childcare, Care Providers, GP and Dental Practices, NHS departments, Cosmetic Surgeries and a wide range of other industries providing a service to the public. In order to fulfil your employers regulatory compliance you need to undertake specific training workshops and courses that will then allow you to perform specific tasks and duties.

These courses are design to raise your awareness and highlight areas of your job that are regulated and governed. These workshops and courses are often required to be taken periodically or after periods away from your duties. Challenging Behaviour Workshop – 2 hours

This workshop enables candidates to have an understanding of how to deal effectively with a situation where someone is presenting with challenging behaviour. Candidates will benefit from having knowledge of how to recognise signs and symptoms of challenging behaviour within their working environment identify causes and deal with situations using simple interventions to diffuse difficult and potentially aggressive situations.

Communication and Record Keeping Workshop – 2 hours

This workshop provides an awareness of the principles of good communication and record keeping within a care environment, to ensure effective communication skills, and good practice when recording information.

Confidentiality Awareness Workshop – 2 hours

The aim of this workshop is to provide the theory and introduce moral/ethical and philosophical issues relating to confidentiality. Candidates will gain awareness of why confidentiality is important, how to keep information confidential and situations when information might need to be shared. Candidates will gain an understanding on how confidentiality can be breached and how to deal with enquiries without breaching confidentiality.

Dementia Awareness Training Workshop - 2 hours

This workshop is aimed at all staff working in the care environment who work with older people with dementia. A general understanding of the issues associated with dementia will be established. Attendees will gain under-pinning knowledge of the signs and symptoms of dementia, important early indicators, the three stages of dementia and diagnosis and treatment of dementia.

Disability Awareness Workshop – 2 hours

This workshop aims to raise awareness of learning and physical disability and encourage candidates to take a proactive approach within the workplace. Key areas of focus will be placed on the social model, Equality Act 2010, types of disabilities and support mechanisms available. Candidates will gain awareness of discriminatory practice and gain knowledge on key aspects of disability.

Equality and Diversity Awareness Workshop – 2 hours

This workshop aims to raise awareness of Equality & Diversity and encourage candidates to take a proactive approach within the workplace. Equality and Diversity can be compromised by candidates own values, opinions, and prejudices, this workshop explores how prejudices develop and how they may influence people. Candidates gain awareness of discriminatory practice and gain knowledge onhow to promote equal opportunities for all and recognise the value of diversity.

Health and Safety Awareness Workshop – 2 hours

This workshop ensures that your employees are aware of their responsibilities under The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. Under Health and Safety Legislation, employers are required to provide appropriate health and Safety training for themselves and/or their employees. This training workshop will ensure that you and your employees comply with legislation and raise awareness of the need to provide a healthy, safe working environment ensuring the welfare of everyone.

Infection Control Awareness Workshop - 2 hours

This infection control training workshop is designed for all staff working in the care environment. Individuals will understand the importance of infection control measures, obligations and responsibilities that should be performed, demonstrate and explain hand washing techniques and have an understanding of maintaining a clean environment.

Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberties Workshop - 2 hours

The Mental Capacity Act came into force in 2007 and was designed to strengthen the protection of vulnerable adults. This workshop enables candidates to understand the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and how those working within the Care Sector can ensure compliance whilst carrying out their job role.

Observation Skills for Carers Workshop – 2 hours

This workshop is designed to provide an introduction into the responsibilities in observation and the legal requirements of accurate reporting. It is relevant to people who provide personal care to clients in care settings

This workshop is for staff whose role entails the writing of reports. Focus is placed on the legal aspects, style of report writing, and importance of issues such as clarity, accuracy and brevity in reports.

Safeguarding of Children Awareness workshop – 2 hours

This workshop examines protection procedures and the law. The key areas covered are definitions, what to look out for in physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, why it occurs, what to do in the event of child abuse and outcome for children. Staff completing this workshop will be in a better position to implement their company Child Protection policy and the procedures they should follow.

This workshop is aimed at raising awareness of the importance of Safeguarding Vulnerable People.
